About Me

Loreal Donovan (She/Her/Hers), MA, LPC, NCC

My name is Loreal (She/Her/Hers) and I am the Owner/Clinician at Connection Mental Health Counseling. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Certificate in Child Advocacy and Policy from Montclair State University and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Caldwell University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in NJ and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I trained with Deany Laliotis at The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy in 2022 and became an EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist in 2026. During my 11 years of experience in the mental health field, I have worked with clients ages 6+ in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient private practice settings. In addition to my role as a trauma therapist, I also work as a DONA Certified Birth Doula. In my free time I like being outdoors, crafting, gardening, reading, hammock lounging, bird watching, and riding bikes with my kiddos.
